Flail is a independent record label with DIY ethics operating out of a basement in Portland, Oregon. In 2018, Flail was started by Scott Michaud of the Bridge City Sinners & Profane Sass. Common Questions

How long does it take for me to get my order?

Flail records is a small operation. We ship and make shirts in house. Normally we get to packing up packages between 1-6 days. You will get a confirmation e-mail with tracking once we’ve finished putting together your package. For USA orders it takes 2-14 days to get to your doorstep. 

Why did I only get half of my order?

Orders that have vinyl records and other merch may ship separately. So if you order a vinyl record and a t-shirt, you may get two separate packages. This makes shipping more affordable! You should get tracking for both packages when they ship.

When will my order ship that has a “pre-order” item?

Your order will not ship until all the items are available. If you order a pre-order item (maybe a vinyl record) and another item (maybe a shirt), then we will wait until the pre-order item is available to send the entire order. If you wish to receive your other items before your pre-order item is available, then please place two separate orders. We will always try to have a pre-order shipped out by the release date. Unfortunately, from time to time we may be waiting on someone else to send us items for the pre-order. If this is the case, trust that we are doing everything in our power to obtain the items in order to fulfill your order as quickly as possible. If your pre-order is pending after the release date and you would like to know the status of the order, please feel free to reach out! Also, at any point you would like a refund for a pre-order let us know and we can do that!

What is your return policy?

In the end reach out and we will figure something out. We want everyone to feel good about their order! Below is the how we officially deal with returns: 

  • Go ahead and fill out the “contact us” form (scroll to end of this page) before sending anything back. We should get back to you in 1-4 days. 

  • If you ordered something and don’t like the size or design, you can exchange it for another size provided the item has not been washed, worn, and is in re-sellable condition. You are responsible to send the item back to Flail and then Flail will pay for the shipping to get the item back to you!

     

What can you do if my order was not correct or my package was damaged?

  • If you received the wrong item, the item was defective/damaged, or we did not send all items… you will incur no additional shipping charges.

  • For US Customers – We will email you with a USPS pre-paid postage label for you to print out, attach to the box, and drop off at your nearest post office or have your own mailman pick up. Once we receive your return, we will re-ship your new item and you will be emailed your new tracking number. Feel to free to contact us and we can try to figure out another way that works for you too!

  • For International Customers – E-mail us and we will figure something out!

     

How much does shipping cost?

The cost of shipping can vary greatly depending on the particular items you’d like to purchase and the location where you’d like your order shipped. You can get a quick shipping & handling estimate by putting the items in your cart, then supplying some address information on the View Cart page.

Could you start shipping to my country? 

We want to ship everywhere!!! Shipping to some places is just hard.  But why? Mostly because some countries packages just don’t get there. Other reasons are import restrictions, high duties & taxes, or excessive fraud. The quickest way to determine if we can ship to your country is to put an item in your cart and visit the View Cart page.

Where do you ship?

Currently we ship to the United States, Canada, Australia, Mexico & most of Europe. For Europe, we have a Flail Records store there—> https://www.mercharsenal-europe.eu/flail-records For Australia, you can get vinyl records from “Folk Til’ Ya Punk Records”.
